Our Masterpiece (Cupboard/Bookcase/Comode - Definitely the center of attention in any of the cases!)

The handles carved from a block of wood. Not finished.

Almost Done :-) The pieces of the block of wood from which it was carved showed.

Doors carved already. Not finished.

Carving filled in with ink

After covering with silver leaf and fitting handles :)

It is probably very ambitious of me to think that this is a "masterpiece", but I do believe that this is definitely our best piece done by now! It looks absolutely fantastic! I think it would be a "jewel" for anyone who appreciates art..

Really hope you like it!

Yin and Yang

Originally it wasn't meant to look like yin yang, and to some people it still might not look like it, but not to me. That's the first thing that comes into my mind when I see this carving. I love the colors and the depth, I love the reflections it gives in the sun, that's foil under all the layers of paint, you don't see it, but it gives a glow from inside the painting..

I still have it for sale, if you're interested don't hesitate to email me for more information.

M.C.Escher Inspired

I have been a fan of M.C. Escher since I was a kid. I think he was a genius, but don't get me started on that.. We've decided to make our own interpretation of his beautiful engraving "Rind" (1955)
The original, which you have probably seen before:

Here is my dad working on already painted and carved MDF board (sorry, had no time to take pictures of the process.. my dad's too fast, he just DOES things and never takes pictures unless i make him). The carving is being filled in with silver paint.

Silver foil around and it's all done! I think it came out absolutely beautiful, but I am not really the one to judge.

Hope you like it. I still have it for sale (email me if you need any further information or wish to see it). If you have YOUR favorite painting, drawing, carving we can reproduce and reinterpret almost anything.

Cuteness. Mickey and Minnie Baby Headboard

Inspiration

First sketch

Carved on a piece of thin white veneer and outlined. Ready for painting

Almost there..

And there you have it :)

Sweet dreams little baby.. It will make an amazing headboard for a cute little boy or girl. Or it could stay the way it is, add a frame and it can be a painting :)

The original scupture by F.E. McWilliam

Our interpretation of it on canvas

One of my friends went to London with her boyfriend and visited Tate Gallery. He fell in love with F.E. McWilliam's sculpture Eye, Nose and Cheek (1939) and she wanted to make a painting of it for Valentine's day.

The picture below is what we came up with. She wanted it to be as realistic as possible, so we used aerography to make it look and feel like real stone and give it depth and some volume. The client was very happy.

Hope you like it!
